A conversation between Jeferson Strutz,Vertical Solutions Manager for the Manufacturing Industry, from Autodesk Brazil, and Milton Cesar Rocha, Mechanical Engineer at the Brazilian SÃncrotron Light Laboratory, also called the LNLS. The discussion centers on the Autodesk Inventor of the Year award the team at LNLS received for the design of a remarkable scientific investigation system called the Elliptically Polarizing Undulator (or EPU for short). The conversation opens with Jeferson asking Milton to provide a background on the laboratory, followed by insights on how digital prototyping and Autodesk Inventor software helped the designers experience and simulate the system's real world performance before building the first physical prototype.
